Justin Michael Allen, 20

| May 21, 2010 4:18 AM

Justin Michael Allen tragically passed away on the evening of May 17, 2010. Justin was born at Tripler Army Medical Hospital in Honolulu, Hawaii, Oct. 26, 1989. It was a beautiful day and the sun has shone on him since.

Justin lived in Honolulu until he was 3, then moved with his family to Coeur d’Alene. Justin graduated from Coeur d’Alene High School in 2008, and was transferring from North Idaho College to Boise State for the fall semester, to major in construction management. Justin was looking forward to living with his brother, Ryan, and beginning the next chapter of his life.

Justin was a fierce competitor both on the wrestling mat and on the Rugby pitch. In wrestling, he fought back from an injury in his junior year to place fourth as a senior. He was passionate about his new found love for Rugby, and loved his time with Coeur d’Alene Osprey. He cherished the new family he found there and was excited to continue Rugby in Boise.

Justin loved many and was loved by many, which was evident by all those who showed up to say goodbye to him. He loved his family, he loved having a good time with his friends, and was known for his smile, his laugh and his caring protective nature. He was great with kids and enjoyed coaching for the Buzzsaw wrestling club. He loved the Lord and is now safely home.

Justin is survived by his mother and father, David and Tina Allen of Coeur d’Alene; his brother, Ryan and his fiancee Jenny Geyer of Boise; his maternal grandparents, Harry and Chris Kiefer of Cordele, Ga; his maternal aunt and uncle, Blaine and Rachelle Eddy and their children Kayla and Avery of Hughesville, Pa.; his great-grandmother, Marion Allen Lent; his paternal grandparents, Jim and Gale Allen of Danville, Va.; and his paternal aunt and uncle, Mike and Judy Allen and their daughters Ashley and Jessianne of Charleston, S.C.

Justin will be remembered at a memorial service to be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 24, 2010, at Real Life Ministries, 1866 N. Cecil Road, Post Falls.

Donations can be made in lieu of flowers to a memorial foundation at the Mountain West Bank on Ironwood in Coeur d’Alene.
