Marilyn Joyce Lee, 78
Marilyn, 78, passed away May 17, 2010, at Sylvan House in Hayden. She was born in Santa Cruz, Calif., on Aug. 29, 1931, the daughter of Sanford and Ida Twitchell, and the youngest of five children.
She graduated from Santa Rosa High School in 1949, and from nurse’s training at Santa Rosa Junior College School of Nursing in 1952. Her nursing career over a 50-year period included assignments in emergency rooms, obstetrics, U.S. Army (G.S. 9), Deputy County Health Nurse, Cochise County, State of Arizona T.B. Coordinator, and District School Nurse for Sierra Vista School and Chandler School Districts. After moving to Coeur d’Alene in 1983, her duties included Director of Nursing at CCC, and part-time Nurse at Pinewood Care Center, until her retirement.
Marilyn was married to Ray Lee, and together they raised four children, Sandra Lee Coultrap of Coeur d’Alene, Lorraine Williams of San Jose, Calif., Jeff Lee of Coeur d’Alene, and Robert Lee of Coeur d’Alene. Together they have 34 grandchildren, 17 of which are great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, May 24, 2010, at Yates Funeral Chapel in Coeur d’Alene.
