Experience a Day at the Dog Park is Saturday

The Kootenai Humane Society is putting on "Experience a Day at the Dog Park," from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

Residents can release their vaccinated dogs in the fenced area at the shelter at the north end of Ramsey Road.

The dogs can run and play and their owners can watch to see what a dog park is like, said Rondie Renaldo, KHS executive director.

Organizers working on establishing a dog park in Coeur d'Alene will be on hand to explain the project, what still needs to be done and accept donations to make it a reality.

The KHS shelter will also open at noon on Saturday and pets will be up for adoption.
