Frances June Raugust, 84

Frances June Raugust, 84, passed away May 16, 2010, at her home in Coeur d’Alene. Frances was born on June 13, 1925, in Walthill, Neb., to Joseph and Mary Vlasak.

She grew up in Nebraska and Sandpoint. Frances moved to Spokane, Wash., and graduated from Kinman Business University.  Frances married Harvey E. Raugust on Dec. 1, 1946. They had a daughter, Jane and a son, H. Dennis. They lived and farmed in Spangle, Wash. Frances spent her life doing what she enjoyed, taking care of her family, cooking and gardening.

Frances is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Harvey; her daughter, Jane Raugust Coller and her sister, Beverly Metcalf.

She is survived by her son, H. Dennis (Cheryl) of Spangle; six grandchildren, Janafer Misty Walton, Edwin Coller, Christine, Ryan, Kevin and Justin Raugust; sister Marian Tonani and brother Joseph Vlasak.

She will be missed by so many who loved her, but will always be in their hearts.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Parkinson’s Resource Center of Spokane, 910 W. Fifth, Spokane, WA 99204.

Memorial service for Frances will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 22, 2010, at English Funeral Chapel, 1133 N. Fourth St., Coeur d’Alene.
