KOOSKIA (AP) - Idaho State Police said a North Idaho woman has died after her vehicle rolled down an embankment and she was ejected into the Clearwater River.

Police said 49-year-old Avryl M. Monson of Kooskia died Friday en route to a hospital in Orofino after some people in a jet boat pulled her from the river and took her to shore.

Police said Monson was not wearing a seat belt, and that the SUV she was driving also went into the river and was completely submerged.

The crash near Kooskia remains under investigation.
