BENCH: Much ado from 'porcupines'

I’m writing to comment on Tuesday’s story about the “Bring back the bench” demonstration of protest at Farragut State Park.

It appears the Bayview porcupines have found another cause to get their hackles up.

I fully support Ranger Butt’s position that the Eagle Beach boat launch ramp is NOT the place to encourage loitering with a park bench. I do not use this launch ramp often but I am quite familiar with the operation of launching and retrieving boats and it is quite hazardous enough without compounding the congestion and frustrations by adding unrelated foot traffic to the equation.
