Five T-Wolves in regional finals

COEUR d'ALENE - Lake City and Lewiston will make up most of the final round matchups in the 5A Region 1 tournament today at Lake City and Coeur d'Alene High.

Boys singles competitor Michael Scott of Lake City, and the Timberwolf boys doubles team of Matt Gencarella and Dimitri Christo will face off with Lewiston in the finals, starting today at 9 a.m. at Lake City High.

Ronique Padda of Lake City will compete in the girls finals at Coeur d'Alene High, where the Lake City girls doubles teams of Jill Johnson and Haley Kausen will face teammates Bri Duran and Amanda Smith for the regional title.

The top four in each division advance to state.

Charter teammates play for district title

PULLMAN - The Coeur d'Alene Charter Academy duo of Steven Hallgren and Mitch Ketron will meet in today's 3A District 1-2 tournament singles final at Washington State University.

"It's going to be exciting to watch," Coeur d'Alene Charter coach Ray Longpre said. "I promised a trophy to the winner. We've done the same thing the last two years - to have two teammates playing for a championship. It's kind of a continuation - just on the boys side this year."
