Jenna DeLong Drake University

DeLong, a junior from Coeur d'Alene High, earned first team all-Missouri Valley Conference honors in voting conducted by the league's coaches. She registered a 1.56 ERA in 26 starts for the Bulldogs, finishing with a 17-11 record and 217 strikeouts, the fourth-highest single season total in school history.

Bruce Amende York College

Amende, formerly of Coeur d'Alene High, pitched a complete game in a 2-1 win for York (Neb.) College over the College of the Ozarks on Tuesday in the Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference baseball tournament.

The left-handed Amende scattered five hits, one earned run, one walk and 13 strikeouts in the win. He now holds the school record with an 11-0 record for the NAIA Division I Panthers with a 1.80 ERA.

A transfer from Yakima Valley College, Amende was recently named the MCAC pitcher of the year and his 1.80 ERA ranks him second in the nation. The team has a guaranteed berth in the regional tournament starting next week and with a win in that tournament, would advance to the NAIA World Series in Lewiston starting on May 28.

Ali Middleton

Middleton, a freshman from Lakeside High, moved into eighth place all-time at Idaho in the triple jump with a best wind-legal jump of 38 feet, 4 inches at the Vandal Jamboree on May 8.
