Sharon Lee Dyer Clark, 66

| May 12, 2010 6:10 AM

Sharon Lee Dyer

Clark died of a heart attack at her home in the Village

condominiums in Coeur d’Alene on May 1, 2010.

Born in Pasco,

Wash., on April 7, 1944, to George and Della Dyer, she was raised

and attended school there.

Sharon is

survived by her daughter, Michelle and Michelle’s husband Victor

Moore. Also surviving are her aunt, Edna Smith of Post Falls and a

nephew Scott Gilson and many cousins. Scott is the son of Sharon’s

sister, Shirley, whom she nursed until her death. She is also

predeceased by both of her parents.

Sharon moved to

Beaverton, Ore., where she worked for GTE and followed them to

Portland when the company became Verizon. She retired after 25

years of faithful service, moving to Coeur d’Alene to be closer to

her Uncle Ken who passed away shortly after she arrived here.

Sharon was very

caring and giving. She volunteered at Borah Elementary helping with

the Reading Program there. She also spearheaded a Christmas Drive

for food and toys at the school. Last year her concern for another

private family had her duplicating her efforts in the same manner,

making sure their Christmas was blessed.

She was active in

the Homeowners Association where she lived, serving three years on

the Board of Directors and had recently been re-elected to serve

another term. A favorite thing for her to do was have coffee on

Saturday mornings with cousin Terry and his wife, Jaye.

Her many friends

both here and in the areas where she lived and worked were shocked

to hear of her sudden and unexpected death.

Sharon loved her

pets — any remembrances should be sent to the Kootenai Humane

Society.
