JUDGE: There's more to the man
I would encourage you or your staff to dig a little deeper into the "Man gets jail for hit and run" story you ran on Saturday May 8, 2010. The article states that Anthony Judge had denied knowingly hitting Kameron Pfeifer, what it does not say is that he passed a lie detector test supporting his claim.
Were any of the prosecutions witnesses subjected to this test after some admitted alcohol consumption throughout the day of the incident?
After repeatedly professing his innocence, he is asked again, by the court, to admit his crime and avoid prison. Unwilling to lie, he denies the courts offer and accepts its decision. Jail.
Tonight a father, a friend, an honest man and a contributing member of society sits in a jail cell.
"You have anger issues," your paper quotes Judge John Mitchell saying at sentencing. With respect to your Honor's court, I, for one, don't blame him a little animosity.
He was arrested, jailed for days without knowing the status of Kameron. He was sick with fear that he had unknowingly hurt or killed the boy. Anthony Judge is my friend and I trust him without
reservation.
