HONORS: Knife program thanks vets

| May 12, 2010 10:00 PM

Washington state Air National Guard veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan were presented with 26 special Buck commemorative sheath knives, contributed by our donors on May 1.

Disabled veterans attending the Idaho State Convention of the Disabled American Veterans, hosted by Fort Sherman Chapter 9 DAV, were presented with 76 of the special Buck knives on May 7.

Each veteran receives a thank-you card, a history packet containing published news of previous presentations, including a list of donors, and a knife.

Additional donors are needed.

Thanks to God, the Buck family, the Coeur d’Alene Press, the Post Falls Press and the following donors for making these gifts to our veterans.
