Johnson sought on federal warrant
The North Idaho Violent Crimes Task Force is seeking information leading to the apprehension of Shad Alan Johnson.
Johnson, 38, is being sought based on a federal warrant charging him with drug offenses. He has a history of drug, alcohol and aggravated assault offenses. This is a U.S. extradition warrant.
Johnson is a white male, 6 feet, 2 inches tall, 220 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair. He was last known to be living on the run in various locations throughout North Idaho and Eastern Washington.
Anyone with information regarding this subject or other fugitives being sought for violent crimes should call the NIVCTF at (208) 665-1471. The identity of callers will remain confidential and reward money is available.
BikePAC to hold awareness event
HUETTER - BikePAC of Idaho will hold a motorcycle awareness day on Sunday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the eastbound Huetter rest area on Interstate 90 just east of Post Falls.
Motorcyclists will offer coffee, hot chocolate and cookies as well as provide a free windshield wash while asking motorists to be aware of and watch for motorcycles this summer.
Volunteers are welcome.
Brochures and other information will be available for travelers.
May is Motorcycle Awareness Month.

KEC members lose power
COEUR d'ALENE - About 1,600 Kootenai Electric Cooperative members lost power Tuesday between 9:55-10:25 a.m.
The outage was caused when Avista Utilities crews dug into a KEC power line in Coeur d'Alene, according to a press release.
Members affected were near Ramsey, Hanley and Kathleen.
