Carol A. (Gill) Brownell, 76

Carol A. (Gill) Brownell passed away May 5, 2010, from complications from COPD, in the presence of family at home. She was born and raised Nov. 14, 1933, in San Luis Obispo, Calif., to Seth and Theo (Ingersoll) Kinney.

She married William Everett Gill in 1954 and they had five sons. Carol was born and raised there. She moved to Coeur d’Alene in 1977 after the passing of her first husband. She married Larry Brownell July 13, 1985, in Coeur d’Alene.

Carol was an Administrative Secretary at TESH retiring after 20 years in the late ‘90s. She was a member of Real Life Ministries in Post Falls, Curly Q’s Square Dancing and Quilting Club at Real Life. Carol enjoyed fishing, boating, square dancing, classic cars, playing cards and her real talent was training pets.

She is survived by her husband, Larry, at home; five sons, William Gill, Seth (Cindy) Gill, Scott Gill, Kipp (Rachel) Gill and Raymond Gill, all of Coeur d’Alene; step children, Jon Brownell, Greg Brownell, Bruce Brownell, Darla Anderson and Gloria Holgren; sister Geri Willoughby; brother Larry Kinney; 23 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Real Life Ministries Quilting Club and Hospice of North Idaho.

Visitation will be held from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, May 9, 2010, at English Funeral Chapel, Coeur d’Alene. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, May 10, 2010, at Real Life Ministries, Building 2, in Post Falls, followed by a graveside service at 3 p.m. at Colfax Cemetery in Colfax, Wash.
