SV dinner, auction is Saturday

WALLACE - The Silver Valley Friends of the NRA are gearing up for their second dinner and auction on Saturday.

The group was re-established in the area by Joe Allen and Larry Jennings about four months prior to last year's event, which brought in about 250 attendees who enjoyed the games and prizes of the evening.

Funds raised by this event stay in the Silver Valley, Jennings said, helping to support the Shoshone County Public Shooting Range as well as other youth involvement endeavors.

The dinner and auction, featuring special drawings and firearm raffles, is scheduled at 5 p.m. at the Wallace Elks, 419 Cedar St. in Wallace.
