LABRADOR: Has proven leadership

| May 6, 2010 12:14 PM

It is with amusement I read letters to the editor claiming Vaughn Ward is the conservative who will hit the ground running IF elected to Congress. He was a leader of men in the armed forces and somehow that is the equivalent of a conservative political leader.

Do you remember John Kerry, John Murtha and John McCain? They all served their country in time of war. Were any of them conservative leaders once they were elected?

Representative Raul Labrador has served two, two-year terms in the Idaho House of Representatives. He was one of only seven house members to receive a 100 percent rating on the 2010 Idaho Conservative scoreboard. Representative Labrador was one of three main sponsors for Idaho’s Freedom of Choice in Health Care Act.

He sticks to his conservative values even when it means going against members of his own party. At the end of the 2009 legislative session Representative Labrador led the opposition to the governor’s proposed gasoline tax hike, stopping this tax from hurting all of us.

Representative Raul Labrador is the proven conservative candidate in this race. Let’s not be fooled by the cardboard poster candidate who has no voting record at all.
