Douglas A. Taylor, 70

Douglas A. Taylor, 70, passed away on Easter Sunday, April 4, 2010, at his home in Bonney Lake Wash., after a brave battle with cancer. Doug was born in Kinzua, Ore., to Walter and Dorothy (Fitzgerald) Taylor on Feb. 29, 1940.

Doug grew up in Coeur d’Alene where he graduated from Coeur d’Alene High School in 1958. He went on to graduate from the University of Washington with a master’s degree. Doug worked at Boeing in Seattle and had just received his 40-Year Pin/Plaque.

Doug is survived by his wife, Carolyn of 35 years; sons Brock (Darcia) Taylor of Las Vegas, Nev., and Darren (Jennifer) Taylor of Coeur d’Alene; daughters Jayna (Culley) Mills and Candace (Steve) Adams, both of Coeur d’Alene, Cindi (Andy) Vrilakas of Sacramento, Calif., and Sherry (Greg) Barney of Maple Valley, Wash.; grandchildren Sloan and Stella Taylor, Jesse and Danielle Taylor, Allen Taylor and Raynalee Mills, Chuckie, Rocky and Wesley Adams, Christina, Jesse and Zack Barney; brother David (Mette) Taylor of Las Vegas; sister Dana Rigdon of Portland, Ore.; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Doug will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He was a wonderful, smart, hard-working, loyal, and caring man. He loved life, working in his yard, his Classic 55 Chevy, shopping and working on his bowling program which he never got the chance to finish before he became so ill.
