Woman hit by truck in serious condition

BOISE (AP) - A 76-year-old woman hit by a pickup truck that crashed into her living room Tuesday is in serious condition in the intensive care unit at St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center.

Faye Dunlap was sitting in her Caldwell living room Tuesday evening when 23-year-old Nick Nettleton, driving on a suspended license, crashed his pickup truck through her wall. Nettleton's license was suspended after he was convicted of driving under the influence in January.

Idaho State Police trooper Blake Higley says alcohol wasn't involved in the Tuesday crash.

Instead, he said Nettleton told police he lost control of the car when putting on his sunglasses.

Nettleton struck another vehicle before slamming into the house, sending a woman and six-year-old girl to the hospital.
