BOISE - Executive Director Jonathan Parker announced that Jeff Ward has been chosen to serve as the 2010 North Idaho field director for the Idaho Republican Party.

Ward will work out of the North Idaho field office and his chief responsibility will be to ensure the Republican Party unseats Democrat Walt Minnick in November. Ward's first day with the Idaho Republican Party will be June 8.

"I appreciate this opportunity and I am looking forward to working with the Idaho Republican Party in this exciting political climate to ensure Republican victories in November," he said.

Ward is a graduate of the University of Washington where he studied political science. Ward also has a masters in the arts degree in history from Eastern Washington University.

Ward lives in Post Falls with his wife Glorie, where he serves as the president of the Kootenai County Reagan Republicans.

"Jeff Ward is an excellent new addition to our team," Parker said. "I believe that 2010 is going to deliver Republican victories in a similar fashion that 1994 did."
