OIL SPILL: There's a better solution

| June 9, 2010 10:00 PM

If the best minds in the world can't figure out how to stop the oil from pouring out of the earth below the sea, then they'd better resign and let someone else do it. Put a ball of thick mud in your hands, turn the water faucet on halfway, now stop the water flow with the mud!

A 16-inch suction line could put all that oil in super tankers. All the oil that has washed up on the shores could have been skimmed off the surface and recycled.

If not stopped soon, in a year or two the Earth's waters will be oil slicks. This is the beginning of the end. It could be one "hell" of a fire!

As far as using soap or phosphates to break down the oil goes, the oil will still be in the water at all depths, killing everything.
