In pain? Pinnacle can help!

| June 9, 2010 9:00 PM

Is pain limiting what you do in your daily life, or how you do your daily activities, or how long you can do those activities? Pain is not a way of life, and you don't have to live with it. Physical therapists can eliminate your pain so you can do your daily activities again.

Physical therapists are experts in the proper movement of people's bodies in order to resolve pain; priding themselves on taking people from a place of pain to a place of full functionality. "Physical Therapy is an all-encompassing form of treating pain by addressing the root of the problem to provide lasting relief," said Mark Bengtson, PT and owner of Pinnacle Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine. "Pain can take you away from your normal daily activities, my job is to get you back to doing those activities, pain free."

It is easy to take for granted the function of our bodies until we experience pain or an injury and we no longer feel normal. Most of us have experienced this frustration, so it is easy to determine that movement is essential to our everyday lives. Physical therapists are focused on the overall health of patients and serve people with a wide-range of conditions.

"As a physical therapist, I am determined to educate patients and help them achieve a level of independence from their condition," said Bengtson. "My goal is to help people decrease their pain and increase their quality of life, by getting patients back to what they are used to doing, like walking, biking, or just being able to drive, cook, and clean pain-free."

Additionally, Pinnacle believes that physical therapy has to do with an attention to detail. Developing individualized treatment plans for each patient's needs is what gets outstanding results. "My team is an incredible group who are all equally dedicated to taking care of our patients" says Bengtson.
