Errors cost Indians in loss to Ems
EUGENE - Three errors cost the Spokane Indians on Friday night in a 2-1 loss to the Eugene Emeralds in front of 4,002 at PK Park in Northwest League baseball action.
In the bottom of the seventh inning, Rymer Liriano had an infield single, but advanced to second on an error by Spokane (23-18) pitcher Colby Killian. Liriano later came around to score the go-ahead run on a groundout to Spokane shortstop Jurickson Profar.
Rico Noel led off the game with a single for Eugene (17-24) and advanced to third on a throwing error by Profar. Tyler Stubblefield drove in Noel on a sacrifice fly.
Spokane designated hitter Andrew Clark tied the game at 1 with an RBI single to score Jacob Skole in the seventh.
The teams continue their five-game series tonight at 7.
