Basin cleanup plan hot public topic tonight

COEUR d’ALENE — Think you don't have a say in the cleanup of 100 years worth of mining waste?

Think again.

Everyone will have a chance to learn and speak their piece about mining waste cleanup activities tonight at a meeting of the Coeur d'Alene Basin Citizens Coordinating Council.

Agenda topics will include updates on repositories, the new Upper Basin proposed plan now open for public comment, blood lead testing and other basin-related updates.

All CCC meetings are open to the public.

The meeting is scheduled for 6:30 to 9 p.m. tonight at the Lake City Senior Center. - Alecia Warren
