Are you interested in civil rights? Are you interested in great writing? If you are, "The Grapes of Wrath" is a great choice.

The Grapes of Wrath is about the Joad family - Oklahoma sharecroppers. Doesn't sound good yet?

Tom Joad has recently been released from prison on parole. All he has are the clothes on his back and a bottle of whiskey. On his way home, he finds an ex-preacher that he once knew. They talk for a while and the ex-preacher agrees to go home with Tom. When they get to the Joad home, the home is torn up and flipped over and there is no one there.

This is a great book that is considered a classic. It will be around 502 pages long.

This is a very, very good story that I would recommend to anyone who likes to read. John Steinbeck, who wrote it, won the Nobel Prize for Literature. Most readers will like his writing style.

WARNING TO PARENTS

This book will contain: use of alcohol and tobacco, language, sexual reference, and violence. If you do not want your child to read this book I am not trying to force anything on you but I would recommend this book to anyone mature enough to read it.
