Lookout to host free food drive

LOOKOUT PASS - Lookout Pass Ski and Recreation Area will be the snowy venue for Tom Sherry's Ski Free Food Drive on Friday, March 5.

Any skier or snowboarder who donates at least three cans of food will receive a free lift ticket for the day.

Last winter, Lookout collected more than 4,500 pounds of canned goods, and the mountain hopes to break that record this year.

All donations from the Ski Free Food Drive will go to New Life Ministries in Pinehurst, which will distribute the canned goods to needy families in local communities.

New Life works in conjunction with Second Harvest Inland Northwest.

The drive will offer a helping hand to those in need, and three cans of food for a free Lookout Pass lift ticket sounds like a pretty good trade.
