| February 17, 2010 1:51 PM

Bonnie Daughenbaugh, Post Falls, Idaho, went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2010. She was born in Gibbon, Neb., in 1924 and married her late husband Jerold Daughenbaugh in 1941.

Bonnie raised their family in Southern California until retirement in 1978 to the Bitterroot Valley in Montana. In 1983 they moved to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Throughout her life Bonnie regularly volunteered thousands of hours at hospitals from Loma Linda Children’s Hospital and UCLA Medical Center in California to Kootenai Medical Center in Coeur d’Alene.

She lived her last six years at Guardian Angel Homes in Post Falls where she was lovingly called Bon-Bon. Their love for Bonnie and every resident shines through each of them and they are indeed all Guardian Angels.

Bonnie had four children, Sharon Hennessy, Simi Valley, Calif.; Doug Daughenbaugh, Hamilton, Mont.; Judy Raymond, Spokane, Wash., and Linda Simmons, Post Falls. Bonnie had 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Raylene Ober, Coeur d’Alene, Lorraine Stitt, Augusta, Ga., and one brother Clarence Bishop, Oregon, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The ashes of Bonnie and Jerry will be united as one and together again and buried in the Bitterroot Valley they loved so dearly.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010, at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 1700 E. Pennsylvania Ave., Coeur d’Alene.
