Timberlake triumphs

KELLOGG - Derek Puckett hit a pair of free throws with eight seconds left to give the Timberlake Tigers a 50-45 Intermountain League win over the Kellogg Wildcats on Tuesday night at Andrews Gymnasium.

Derek Tymesen had 16 points to lead Timberlake (9-10, 2-5 IML), which travels to Bonners Ferry on Saturday. Cody Lewis had 12 points for Kellogg (11-9, 3-5), which opens play in the 3A District 1-2 tournament on Tuesday at Lakeland High in Rathdrum.

CLARK FORK - Clancy Drews scored 25 points as the visiting Miners wrapped up the North Star League title.

Zach St. Clair added 15 points for Wallace (10-10, 7-1 NSL), which plays host to Lakeside in a 1A Division I District 1 playoff game next Wednesday. Freshman Axel Anderson scored 17 points to lead Clark Fork (0-18, 0-8).
