Coeur sells $100M in notes
Coeur d'Alene Mines Corp. has completed the sale of $100 million of senior unsecured notes under its effective shelf registration statement on file with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. In conjunction with the sale of the notes, the company also sold shares of its common stock valued at $3.75 million.
"The proceeds of these notes will be used in part to fund Coeur's main capital priorities in 2010, including construction of a final tailings dam and underground development at the Palmarejo silver and gold mine in Mexico as well as other projects to support the company's continued growth," said Mitchell J. Krebs, Coeur's chief financial officer.
The principal of the notes is payable in 12 equal quarterly installments, with the first such installment due on March 31, 2010. Coeur has the option of paying amounts due on the notes in cash, shares of common stock or a combination of cash and shares of common stock. The stated interest rate on the notes is 6.5 percent, but the payments for principal and interest due on any payment date will be computed to give effect to recent share prices, valuing Coeur's shares of common stock at 90 percent of a weighted average share price over a pricing period ending shortly before the payment date. The effect of this computation will be to cause the amount actually due for both principal and interest to be greater than the stated amounts.
The company will file a prospectus supplement with the Securities and Exchange Commission relating to the offering of the notes and the shares of common stock.
Fleet Feet holds nutrition program
Chris Baker, owner of Triformance, LLC, is back to discuss nutrition for endurance athletes in the second program of the athlete education series.
Periodized Nutrition will be held at 6 p.m. Feb. 15 at Fleet Feet, 511 Sherman Ave., Coeur d'Alene.
If you are like most endurance athletes, then you likely only pay attention to your nutrition in the last few days leading up to a race. You might eat a healthy diet, but does your diet support your training? Do you eat to train? Or, do you train to eat?
Learning to periodize your nutrition to match your training can often be a critical factor in performance. This interactive class will teach you how to develop your own periodized nutrition program to help you reach your training and racing goals.
Baker holds a B.S. in nutrition and exercise science and an M.S. in exercise physiology. He is a certified USA Triathlon coach, USA Cycling coach, USA Swimming coach and USA Track and Field coach. He is also a personal trainer with more than 12 years of coaching experience. In his spare time, he is a professional endurance mountain biker.
