A 27-year-old Kennewick, Wash., man suspected of leading a large-scale marijuana distribution group that has dealt in North Idaho and throughout the region was arrested on Wednesday during a traffic stop in Spokane County.

Trenton R. Harris was booked into Spokane County Jail on felony counts of distribution of marijuana and conspiracy to distribute marijuana.

During the course of the investigation, which involved Idaho State Police, drug task force investigators seized more than 80 pounds of marijuana, four handguns and a Mercedes Benz driven by Harris. He was armed with two semi-automatic handguns at the time of his arrest.

A task force spokesman estimated the Spokane-area street value of the seized marijuana was about $208,000.

More than $11,000 in suspected drug proceeds were recently seized from Kennewick 32-year-old Anthony Andre Wofford, aka Anthony Dre, a "runner" connected to Harris' operation.

On Harris' behalf, Wofford routinely made trips to this area to collect drug sales proceeds and distribute large quantities of marijuana, police said.

Wofford was arrested Thursday night and booked into Spokane County Jail on a felony count of delivery of controlled substance.

An investigation continues.
