Presentations at Tobler Marina

Seth Burrill of "Angler's Xperience" and Chad Kaiser, president of the Panhandle Bass Anglers Association, will give presentations the next two Saturdays at Tobler Marina in Hayden.

Both men will be on hand from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Feb. 6 and Feb. 13, to discuss fishing, offer advice and answer questions.

It is free.

The "Better Value Boat Show" also continues at Tobler through Feb. 14. Various models of Bennington, Crestliner, Duckworth, Trophy, Robalo and Chaparral are on display.

People are welcome to stop by, enjoy free coffee and pop, and check out the boats ranging from smaller models to yachts.

Tobler is two miles north of Hayden on U.S. 95.

NRA celebration at Cabela's Friday

COEUR d'ALENE - Cabela's will host a National Rifle Association celebration Friday through Sunday. There will be specials, seminars and product demonstrations.

Local events Saturday and Sunday at the Post Falls store include:

n Outfitting Your Firearm with Accessories - Find out what new accessories we have for your firearm. Holsters, slings, cases, scopes and more. 1:30 p.m.

GPS program set for March 12

A University of Idaho program on global positioning systems is scheduled 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 12 at the Federal Building in St. Maries.

"Using Your GPS" will introduce participants to the science of GPS and the "wide range of tasks that can be accomplished with GPS and their accompanying technologies," according to a press release.

There will be discussion and field exercises such as marking trails and estimating acreages.

Cost is $20, which includes materials and refreshments.
