Huskies back in Pac-10 race

Quincy Pondexter scored 30 points and Venoy Overton sank six free throws late in the final minute to vault defending conference champion Washington back into a wild Pac-10 race with an 81-75 victory over Arizona on Thursday night at Seattle.
Overton made his deciding free throws in the final 49 seconds for the Huskies (15-7, 5-5), after the Wildcats (11-10, 6-4) battled back from 10 points down to within 73-71 late.
Second-place Washington, 0-6 on the road this season, improved to 33-2 at home since the start of last season.
Southern California 66, California 63: At Los Angeles, Mike Gerrity scored 12 points and hit two 3-pointers in the final minutes, and Nikola Vucevic made four free throws in the final 8.9 seconds as the Trojans (13-9, 5-5 Pac-10) defeated California (14-8, 6-4).
UCLA 77, Stanford 73: At Los Angeles, Reeves Nelson scored 18 points and Malcolm Lee hit a pair of free throws with 24 seconds left to preserve UCLA's (11-11, 6-4 Pac-10) victory over Stanford (10-12, 4-6) that kept the Cardinal winless on the road this season.
