AMERICAN FALLS (AP) - Ridgeline Energy has ordered 44 wind turbines for a wind farm between American Falls and Rockland.
The company tells the Idaho State Journal that the 1.8-megawatt turbines should arrive in mid-2011 and start producing energy in late 2011.
The turbines are being supplied by Portland, Ore.-based Vestas Americas and include a 10-year service and maintenance contract.
Ridgeline Energy says it wants to eventually put 66 turbines in the area to produce 120 megawatts of power.
