COEUR d'ALENE - After Community Colleges of Spokane hit 20 3-point baskets in their first meeting, the North Idaho College men's basketball team held the Sasquatch to 6 3s in 22 tries Sunday in a 96-70 victory in the championship game of the Bigfoot-Cardinal Classic at Christianson Gym.

"It helped that they didn't shoot as well, but I thought our defensive effort last night and tonight was really, really good," NIC coach Jared Phay said.

Tournament MVP Tyrone White had 19 points and six rebounds for NIC (13-0), ranked No. 1 in the NJCAA. Cardinals Ameer Shamsud-Din (16 points) and Idris Lasisi (12 points) were also named to the all-tournament team. Former Lake City High standout Nate Frisbie of CCS, who had 12 points and five rebounds, was also named to the all-tourney team.
