KMC: Did an amazing job
We want to publicly recognize and thank the nurses and staff at Kootenai Medical Center for the amazing job they do! Last week, on the birth of our third child, we were again lathered with high quality care and attentiveness. The Holiday Inn has nothing on the service this hospital offers!
Thank you to the men and women who made sure we had everything we needed to ensure an enjoyable delivery, comfortable stay, and healthy mom and baby. Thank you for serving our community!

We would like to thank our award sponsors and event underwriters for helping to make this years ceremony a great success. EVENT: Reading for the children
On Nov. 16 Fernan Elementary School had its second Camp Read A Lot, Family Literacy Event. This event featured a guest story reader Teri Burch reading "Curious George Goes Camping," a special appearance from Curious George and The man with the Yellow Hat, valuable literacy information for parents, games, food and a free book for each child!
This event was made possible by the generosity of the Coeur d'Alene community. Every organization I approached was glad to help with the event. I would like to thank Parker Toyota, STCU, the Kiwanis Club of Coeur d'Alene, Sandy Clovis and Fred Meyer for books and supplies. Thank you to Texas Roadhouse for donating all the food for the event and McDonald's on Appleway for donating the orange drink. A special thank you to the Key Club of Coeur d'Alene High School and the Fernan Title 1 team for helping with the event.
Thank you to the Hayden library for use of the Curious George costume and to Gus Koch (George) and Chase Davis (Man with the Yellow Hat).
It is organizations and people like these that make a positive difference in the education of children in the Coeur d'Alene community.
Sincerely,
