RACISM: It does work both ways

| August 26, 2010 7:14 PM

So this past weekend at the Iowa State Fair they had a group of 30 to 40 black teens roaming around beating white men and women and putting them in the hospital. The teens were calling it "Beat Whitey Night."

Not only has the national media completely ignored this story, but the Des Moines Register published an article titled, "Police say it's ‘very possible' attacks near fairgrounds had racial overtones."

Very possible? Really? I mean the fact that they were calling it "Beat Whitey Night" shouldn't allow us to jump to any hasty conclusions right? But I submit, had it been a group of only five white teens and one black victim, the national headlines would have instantly labeled them racists. Just look at the falsely accused Duke Lacrosse players!

We live in a time where simply disagreeing with Barack Obama will get you accused of being a racist, but 30-40 black teens having a "Beat Whitey Night" at the fair "Very possibly may have had racial overtones."

Ask yourselves, why this story is being ignored by the media? Why nobody will make the leap and call these little punks the racists they are? But more importantly ask yourself, why since the election of Barack Obama has racism been a daily topic of conversation?

I come from a racially and ethnically mixed family, but if the price I must pay is to be FALSELY labeled a racist for opposing Obama's POLICIES, then FINE, I will pay that price!
