CDA: Great time for man, not beast

| August 25, 2010 9:00 PM

We just returned home from my 50th CHS Class Reunion in Coeur d'Alene. What a wonderful time we had. I saw classmates that I haven't seen for many years. It was fun.

I remember having picnics with our family in the dike road area, on the Coeur d'Alene beach and in the park. What great times to remember. We could walk in the park, go to Sanders Beach and just have good family times.

When we arrived at the beach(es) last week, we were greeted with "no dog signs" everywhere! I couldn't believe my eyes. We own two small poodles and looked forward to walking in the park and etc. with them.

How disappointed we were when we had to drive several miles out of town to be able to put our feet in the lake water and let our puppies out of the car. My family has a long history in Coeur d'Alene as productive citizens.

I feel very sad that our beloved Coeur d'Alene has become a city that does not welcome visitors. I talked with other people who feel the same as we do.
