Prairie Legion meeting set Sunday
POST FALLS - A meeting for players from Post Falls, Timberlake and Lakeland high schools who are interested in playing for the Prairie American Legion baseball program is scheduled for Sunday at 6 p.m. at the American Legion Hall - located at Poleline and Syringa.
Information on tryout dates, fees, schedules, etc., will be available.

Chiefs take defenseman with first pick
EDMONTON, Alberta - The Spokane Chiefs selected Tyler King-Cunningham with the 17th overall pick in Thursday's Western Hockey League Bantam Draft.
King-Cunningham (6-feet, 175 pounds) scored 14 goals and 43 points in 25 games for the Notre Dame Bantam team in Saskatchewan last year. He added another five goals and 13 points in seven playoff games. King-Cunningham hails from Pilot Butte, Saskatchewan.
The Chiefs selected 10 players through nine rounds, including four defensemen. The bantam draft is the first opportunity for WHL teams to add 1995-born players to their 50-player protected list.
