Post Falls' White commits to play volleyball at Whitworth

POST FALLS - Post Falls High senior Jalana White has committed to play volleyball at NCAA Division III Whitworth University in Spokane.

The Pirates plan to use White as a setter and right side hitter.

White was a three-year starter at Post Falls, and helped the Trojans qualify for state last fall for the first time since 1991. She was an all-5A Inland Empire League selection as a senior, and a second-team all-IEL pick as a junior.

Lake City girls basketball

meeting set for Monday

COEUR d'ALENE - A meeting for those interested in playing girls basketball for Lake City High next season - and their parents - is scheduled for Monday at 7 p.m. in the Lake City High library.

Information about summer schedules, summer camps and the overall basketball program will be presented.
