Spring Dash is Sunday
COEUR d'ALENE - There's still time to sign up for the 28th annual Spring Dash, a five-mile run scheduled for 9 a.m. Sunday.
The race is a fundraiser for United Way of Kootenai County.
About 1,500 people entered the Spring Dash in 2009 and the race raised about $20,000.
The start and finish is at Bank of America at 401 E. Front Ave. The course winds through the Sanders Beach area and along the Centennial Trail.
Packet pickup and sign up is 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at Bank of America on Front and 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. Sunday. The entry fee is $20.
The forecast is for cool, dry conditions Sunday, with temperatures in the 50s.
There also is a Tot Trot, which includes a T-shirt, for kids age 10 and under for $5. The Tot Trot will start at 8:15 a.m. and the wheelchairs at 8:30 a.m.
