Dollie Sewell Peterson

Nov. 13, 1922 - April 19, 2010

Born Spokane County, Wash., at home. Fourth of seven children to Charles and Alice Sewell.

Married Leonard Peterson in Wichita, Kan., Aug. 17, 1954, with three children, Arnold, John and Candace.

Dollie was a lifelong pilot and loved flying, which she passed to her two boys who fly today. Between raising a family, working and growing the families many businesses, she worked with wood to make treasured furniture and a functioning spinning wheel from which she spun wool. Dollie could be seen in recent years with her husband and little dog. A true leader and independent thinker, we are less without her.

Dollie is survived by her husband, Leonard of 55 years, of Athol; son Arnold and Virginia Peterson and children Christopher and Alexandra; son John and his children, Tyler Gordon and Jeremy; daughter Candace and Rod Wildman; sister Laura Sewell and brother Elmer Sewell.
