Page fuels Timberlake sweep
PRIEST RIVER -Sophomore J.D. Page struck out 11 in the first game, and the visiting Tigers went on to sweep the Spartans 11-4 and 21-6 in Intermountain League play on Saturday.
John Morris went 3 for 5 with two RBIs and Salvador Miranda drove in three runs in the opener for Timberlake (8-5, 5-2 IML).
"J.D. had a great day on the mound and made batters earn their way on base," Timberlake coach Bill Rider said.
Kenny Ridgeway hit a grand slam in the fourth inning of the second game as Timberlake scored 14 runs in the inning to break a 2-all tie.
Zack Miller was 3 for 4 in the second game for Priest River (4-8, 3-4), which hosts Wallace on Tuesday. Timberlake hosts Bonners Ferry on Tuesday.

POST FALLS - Kyle Mai and Kasey Knigge had three RBIs apiece in the first game of the Bengals' 5A Inland Empire League doubleheader sweep of the Trojans.
In the fifth inning of the second game, Kyle Knigge gave the Bengals (16-1, 7-1 5A IEL) the lead for good with a two-run double to go on top 3-2.
Bryson Smith had two hits for Post Falls (2-9, 0-7), which travels to Coeur d'Alene on Monday for a makeup game.
