Bloomsday deadline is today

SPOKANE - Runners, joggers and walkers planning to use the U.S. Postal Service to mail in their Bloomsday entries have today to do so. Entries must be postmarked by today to take advantage of the $15.00 entry fee. Online entrants (www.bloomsdayrun.org) will have until April 18th.

"Those who miss the on-time deadline for mail or online entry will still be able to sign up, either online through April 25 or on race weekend," Bloomsday Race Director Don Kardong said. "But the fee jumps to $30.00, so we encourage people to sign up now."

Entry forms are available at area Washington Trust Banks, Safeway Stores, Franz Bakery Outlets, Premera Blue Cross, Holy Family Hospital and Sacred Heart Medical Center. Runners can also sign up at Sports Authority's two local stores until 9 p.m. tonight.

Williams signs with L-C state

Dillon Williams, a sophomore at North Idaho College, signed a letter of intent to play golf for Lewis-Clark State College next season.

“He will be a good addition to their program,” NIC coach Randy Boswell said. “Dillon was the league MVP and first team all-state at Pullman High School.”

Lewis-Clark State is an NAIA school located in Lewiston.
