Photo by MEGAN BUSH The Sting 2016 Boys Yellow and Black soccer teams competed in the 3 Blind Refs Tournament in Kalispell, Mont., at the Kids Sport Complex over the weekend with a final of Black Team in 1st Place and Yellow Team in 2nd Place in their division. The Black Team on Saturday morning played against the Strikers FC SFC B2016 Blue team with a tie of 3-3. Sting goals were scored by Jackson Martin (1), Oliver Lundy (1), and Lincoln Triebwasser (1). The Black team Saturday afternoon played against the Flathead Valley United SC FVU B2016 Green-AC with a 9-4 win. Sting goals were scored by George Duke (2), Oliver Lundy (1), Emmett Cowan (1), Lincoln Triebwasser (2), Finn Eachon (1), and Jackson Martin (2). Saturday evening the Black team beat the Flathead Rapids FRSC B2016/2017/2018 AC 12-0. Goals were scored by Oliver Lundy (4), Lincoln Triebwasser (1), Finn Eachon (2), Emmett Cowan (3), Wesson Malmstadt (1) and Leo Leferink (1). The Yellow Team on Saturday morning beat the Flathead Rapids FRCS 2016/2017/2018 AC 14-1. Sting goals were scored by Jaxson Matheney (5), Atlas Lepley (4), Elijah Cline (2), Arius Bush (1), Isaak Sterling (1), and Xavier Sousley (1). The Yellow team Saturday evening beat the Strikers FC SFC B2016 Blue team 6-3. Sting goals were scored by Elijah Cline (2), Jaxson Matheney (3), and Xavier Sousley (1). The Yellow team on Sunday morning played against the Flathead Valley United SC FVU B2016 Green-AC with a win of 8-1. Sting goals were scored by Jaxson Matheney (4), Elijah Cline (3) and Isaak Sterling (1). Sunday the Black and Yellow teams squared off in the final match with Black team winning 3-1. Goals for the Black team were scored by Jackson Martin (2) and George Duke (1). The Yellow team goal was scored by Jaxson Matheney.
