As Kootenai County grows, the traffic grows with it. The number of cars grows with it and so does the wear and tear on the roads and highways that were built to sustain moderate communities.

Along the Citylink routes in Kootenai County, some stops are merely sign posts. Others are wooden or metal structures to shelter under while waiting for the bus. Citylink program manager Chad Ingle said since the stops fall within different jurisdictions in Coeur d'Alene, Dalton Gardens, Hayden, Huetter and Post Falls, the Kootenai County transit program collaborates with the cities on any improvements to bus stop locations.
