STATE 5A BOYS BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT: Lake City clamps down on Boise, reaches title game for first time since 2002

"I tell you one thing — I don’t know if I’ve had a group more calm than this group, and considering quite a few of them are sophomores, that’s pretty special," said Lake City coach Jim Winger, who starts three sophomores and two seniors — and started four sophs for much of the season until one went down with an injury. "Same thing in the district championship — fell behind 14-2 to Post Falls, and timeout, everybody’s 'we’re all right' ... same thing tonight."
