Courtesy photo Junior track and field athlete Sammie Wood is this week's Post Falls High School Athlete of the Week. Wood shattered the school's 800-meter record by 4 seconds with a time of 2:16 at Sandpoint two weeks ago, and later that week she broke the school record in the 1,600 meters and set the meet record in the 1,600 and 3,200 in an invitational at Lewiston.
