The Thorns North FC Girls 07 soccer team took first place in the U14 Gold bracket at the Idaho Director's Cup held in Caldwell this past weekend. On Saturday the Thorns beat BTT Boise Thorns Red 6-1, then lost 2-1 to Idaho Rush Nero. On Sunday, the Thorns beat Indie Chicas AI 3-1, and then clinched their standings as gold medalists with a 4-0 shutout against Inferno Copa. Natailie Thompson had 6 goals for the tournament for the Thorns; with 2 unassisted goals, 2 assists by Rachel Corette, 1 assist by Riley Brazle, 1 assist by Bayah Ratigan. Libby Morrisroe had 3 goals; with 2 assists by Corette and 1 assist by Kennedy Hartzell. Kyndall Dolin had 2 goals; both assists by Thompson. Lily Bole, Paige Hunt and Corrette each had 1 goal; with assists by Brazle, Marlee Mccrum, and Hartzell. Liliana Brinkmeier was in goal for the Thorns, stopping over 35 shots throughout the tournament.
