North Idaho Sports Banquet: Area's top high school athletes, teams, coaches honored
Katy Ryan of Lakeland High and Brooke Jessen of Timberlake won Female High School Athlete of the Year honors; and Gunner Giulio of Coeur d’Alene and Eli Gibson of St. Maries won Male High School Athlete of the Year honors at the 58th North Idaho Sports Banquet on Saturday night at The Coeur d’Alene Resort.
All-Idaho prep basketball: Timberlake's Jessen named Player of the Year in 3A
Brooke Jessen, who led Timberlake High to its second straight state basketball title in February, was named 3A girls Player of the Year as the All-Idaho high school basketball teams were announced. All told, six area players were named to the first team in their respective classifications.
