Courtesy photo The Thorns North FC 09 Green girls soccer team won its division at the Three Blind Refs tournament in Kalispell, Mont., last weekend. First was a shutout over FC Missoula White 2009G Uskoski. Tayla Ruchti led the Thorns with a hat trick. Ryann Blair, Phinalley Voigt and Nell Dodge-Hutchins scored twice for the Thorns. Sierra Sheppard scored the team’s final goal of the game. The Thorns also shut out the Flathead Rapids White 2009G-CL. Blair scored three goals, Voigt two, and Tamzyn Feierabend one. The semifinals on Sunday were a match against Thorns North FC 09 Yellow. Blair scored three goals, Dodge-Hutchins scored one. Cayden Leonard scored for the yellow team. In the final match of the tournament, the Thorns beat Calgary Blizzard SC09 5-2. Blair had four goals in the championship, Voigt had one. Maddie Witherwax was in goal this weekend.
