The Timbers North FC ’09 Boys Green soccer team traveled to Kalispell, Mont., and wrapped up their spring season by winning the 26th annual Three Blind Refs Tournament.
The Timbers started Saturday beating the host club, Flathead Force Green, 4-1. Ethan Luna had a hat trick and Mason Taylor sailed one in from midfield for the Timbers.
Saturday evening, the Timbers played the Calgary Blizzard to a 2-2 tie. Mason Taylor scored once for the Timbers and Jacob Melun added a penalty kick.
Sunday morning, the Timbers beat the Sandpoint Strikers 6-1. Mason Taylor, Jacob Melun, Taylor Smith and Rowan Wyatt each had a goal, and Wyatt Hartzell contributed two goals.
The Timbers rounded out the tournament with a 5-0 win over the Flathead Rapids Black. Rowan Wyatt, Taylor Smith and Wyatt Hartzell each scored a goal, and Brooks Judd had 2. Finneas Case and Taylor Smith were in goal for the tournament.
