Hangover Handicap raises $15,000 for Tesh

COEUR d’ALENE — About 340 people began their new year with a fun run that raised $15,000 for local residents with disabilities. Tesh’s 42nd annual Hangover Handicap Fun Run included everyone from youngest child Quinn, who slept in the stroller pushed by Ben and Lindsey Widmyer, to youngest runner Lennox Benton, 12, to U.S. Naval Academy midshipman Joey Gibbs, to retired Kootenai Health CEO Joe Morris. It even included some runners of the four-legged kind. The first dog and owner to cross the finish line were Ruger and his owner, Alyssa Horsely, Tesh CEO Frances Huffman said.
